In 10 regions of Ukraine, namely in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Lviv, Sumy, Poltava and Odesa, Zaporizhzhya, Ivano-Frankivsk, tens of thousands of people are under the care of the Let's help Foundation in general and specialized homes for the elderly people (geriatric boarding houses).

The vast majority of them are abandoned, lonely, sick people - they can not take care of themselves and need constant attention and care. These institutions are woefully underfunded. Their living conditions are disgraceful. Elderly people lack elementary things - diapers, underwear, personal hygiene products, clothes, dishes, etc. Not to mention the elements of comfort, coziness and, as a result, positive emotions and a good mood.

The Let's help fund sets itself an ambitious goal - to create an atmosphere of a native home for abandoned elderly people, to give them the opportunity to spend the last years of their lives with dignity. For this purpose, the Foundation launched the "Dignified Old Age" program, which gradually changes the lives of lonely elderly people in geriatric boarding houses in 6 regions.

The fund planned to carry out a wide range of actions in order to create comfortable conditions for the senior people stay: from the purchase of necessary things, hygiene products and dishes to the replacement of furniture, installation of buttons for quick calls to the staff.

We have already installed 1,094 buttons in 30 geriatric boarding houses in the Kyiv region. We plan to continue installing buttons in other areas.
